RATE CHANGE IN JUNE

In June there will be an increase in my rates. No need to panic, they aren't going up much. I will always keep my rates low.   :0) 

Anyone who books a date before June 1, no matter what the date in 2013, will receive the current rate:
Proofreading-Cost  $1.00 per thousand words
Copy Editing-Cost $2.50 per thousand words

Anyone who books a date after June 1 will pay the new rate.

Here is a list of the upcoming changes and the services for each:

Proofreading  -  Cost  $2.00 per thousand words  (up by $1.00/1000 words)

There will be a $20.00 minimum fee for MS 10,000 words or less.

v  Correcting errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. 

v  Correcting incorrect word usage (such as the use of accept and except).

v  Ensuring consistency in spelling, hyphenation, numerals, fonts, and capitalization.

v  Adding punctuation in order to eliminate confusion and to improve readability.

Copy Editing  -  Cost $3.00 per thousand words  (up by $0.50/1000 words)

v  Proofreading services.

v  Checking for consistency in descriptions.

v  Improving the flow of text rather than simply ensuring correct usage and grammar.

v  Moving sentences to improve readability.

v  Offering alternatives, rather than simply flagging problems.

v  Watching for over-used vocabulary, offering alternatives that improve the message while retaining the style of speech.

Also, (effective immediately) I will be happy to do general formatting for an additional fee of $20.00/per manuscript.
