I liked this book SO much. The characters are easy to understand, the stories within the story are wonderful. I was interested the entire book, no lag-time. This book is so appropriate for the times, I think any young adult (or an older adult) reading it will be able to identify with at least one character. I found myself commiserating with Zoe, and totally taken in when Sam started to share his stories.
Learning to accept that no one is perfect, that forgiving can be difficult but necessary for moving on, and that second chances are not guaranteed are all part of growth, and Ms. Neideffer's characters can show us how it's done. I enjoyed this second in the Sweet Haven series, and recommend it for anyone. It's not all roses, there are moments when I held my breath... and gave a 'phew!' after some of the scenes. Well done, Tara!
Right off the bat this story went in a direction I wasn't thinking of, and then continued change direction. This alone was enough to keep me going, add to that the interesting characters, and current theme, and you have a winner. I mean, who doesn't like to read about famous people (even make believe famous people) who are misbehaving? This is a good read, easy and interesting. I recommend it.
The sequel to He Stopped Loving Her Today carries on with Abby's life after her first husband, Ben, has passed away. True to life, the characters are genuine, and vulnerable. This is a sweet Christian romance, short and easy to get caught up in. 
Combine situations that could, conceivably, happen with the paranormal and romance, and you have J.E. Taylor. I make no mystery of the fact that this is one of my favorite modern authors. She's nailed it again and all I can't wait for more.

This is a great start for a new series. The book description promises 'laughs, hot sex, and plenty of suspense' and it definitely delivers. I really enjoyed both of these. Because there are explicit sex scenes, it's only recommended for readers 18 yrs and above. Right now, part 1 is free!
