Magick by J.E. Taylor

Combine situations that could, conceivably, happen with the paranormal and romance, and you have J.E. Taylor. I make no mystery of the fact that this is one of my favorite modern authors. She's nailed it again and all I can't wait for more.

and   This is a great start for a new series. The book description promises 'laughs, hot sex, and plenty of suspense' and it definitely delivers. I really enjoyed both of these. Because there are explicit sex scenes, it's only recommended for readers 18 yrs and above. Right now, part 1 is free!

He Stopped Loving Her Today by Donna Shelton

 This book is short, but so powerful. Donna Shelton tells the tale in a way that allows the reader to become completely immersed in the story. I cried at the end; something that doesn't happen often. I have to say I loved this book and would recommend it for anyone.

During any down time, I read! Surprise! Lately I've finished this series by J.L. Bryan, and I think they are fantastic! I love books about ghosts, paranormal stuff of all kinds, and this series is perfect. I was really happy to hear Mr. Bryan is working on book four now! Can't wait.

Secrets of a D-List Supervillain by Jim Bernheimer

Filling in and fleshing out the world and characters of the D-List Supervillain, 'Secrets' give the details for the behind the scenes actions in the first books. Though it doesn't introduce a new plot, I was thoroughly entertained by the humor and creativity shown my Mr. Bernheimer, and appreciated the gaps that were filled. I recommend starting from the beginning of the series, for continuity; and though I didn't do that, I still enjoyed the writer and the story so much that I went back and purchased the rest of the series.

Comic book heroes have become a favorite of mine through TV series, and this book series is one to rival Iron Man. Anyone who enjoys the comic book heroes should love Bernheimer's books.

Long Road Home by Megan Duncan

Once again stepping out of the vampire genre, Ms. Duncan has produced a young adult contemporary romance novel that is so well written that even if you aren't a fan of romance novels, you would like this one. The story is one many young people can, sadly, associate with. Written about high school students, there is minimal swearing, and for the most part, Ms. Duncan has the most entertaining use of words and phrases to describe unpleasant people and situations. Highly recommended.
